Ragi Drink – Savory Version
Ragi Whole grains – 1 cup
Salt to taste
Pepper powder – per taste
Method to prepare:
Wash and soak the Finger millet in water for about an hour or two. Drain and dry the millets in shade.
Once it is dry, powder it to an almost fine powder. If it is a little coarse, it is fine. This powder can be stored and used in amounts as required.
Follow the same process for soaking and continue soaking for a day. Then follow the same process to sprout the Millets.
Follow the procedure to sprout. Once the millet sprouts, shade dry them till they get dry. Powder and store.
The nutrient value of sprouted Millet is many times more than regular ones.
To make the drink:
Take the required amount of the ragi flour. Mix with lukewarm water, else it will not get evenly mixed.
Add twice the amount of water and bring to boil. Before serving you can add salt and pepper for taste.
Will post a sweet version of this drink later.
