Blogging Marathon # 43 – 3 Day Marathon for 4 weeks!

Sharing is caring!

Welcome to the 43rd edition of BM. The themes included are some of my most favorite ones and I have a tough time selecting just four. I hope you will have the same trouble as well!
For those of you who are landing here for the first time, then please check out these posts on Blogging Marathon, you can read about all the history, the thought process that’s gone in everything in one place in the BM#18 intro

For details on BM held every month, check out the Blogging Marathon page. Once I get all details I will be updating this page. Bloggers taking part in this marathon need to just link back to this page.
The entry is again by Sign ups and each theme will again have only 4 bloggers on first come first basis.
And because of the new rules I will not be able to accept late sign ups as it will become extremely hard for me to manage otherwise. If you feel you want to do it, please decide ahead, else you can join later.
Commenting on the participating bloggers post is mandatory.
And subscription to the group will be monthly basis.

Kid’s Delight theme ensures my Kid’s Delight event, guest hosted by other bloggers gets good entries. Since the event is 16th – 15th every month, we have two different themes happening for BM. And you have the choice of doing two different themes.
Kid’s Delight – Healthy snacks box recipes (3,4,5 and 10,11,12)
Kid’s Delight – Healthy desserts for Kids (17,18,19 and 24,25,26)
Please note all entries for Kid’s Delight theme have to be kid approved. The dish can be either approved by your own kid, your young relatives, neighbors or even something that you enjoyed as a kid. Do remember to mention the age group of the kid, so that it becomes easy for others.
Kid’s Delight –  Healthy Snacks box recipes  (3,4,5 and 10,11,12)

This edition is hosted by Harini, and you can check out her rules for the edition.

Kid’s Delight – Healthy desserts for Kids (17,18,19 and 24,25,26)

Sapana will be hosting the Kid’s Delight from August 16th and she is calling ideas for Healthy Desserts for Kids.

Cakes with Different egg substitutes

As the theme says, make an eggless cake with egg substitutes. Flavours can be different or same. However the egg substitutes have to be different for all three days.

Pizza Snacks

I have listed out some snacks below. Your 3 days will have to be from this list. All three days have to be different. Stuffing is your choice, however the snack has to be from this list.

The options are:

Pizza pockets
Pinwheel Pizza Snacks
Muffin Pizzas
Pizza cupcakes
Pizza Sticks
Pizza bites
Cheese Pizza Snacks
Bagels pizza snacks
Pizza bread sticks
Pizza logs

The famous dhoklas are here to be enjoyed! Cooking method can be different like MW, Rice Cooker or Stove top. I am not restricting it. Or you can make all three days on stove top.

However the dhoklas have to be different for each day.

Tame the Yeast with Combos

This is a new theme that’s introduced in BM from this month on. This is a baking special, where the expert in house baker will share a foolproof bread for the rest of the group to bake. The item to be baked will be decided ahead and shared with all. So everybody will have a month’s time to work on the bread. This is again follows the same BM rules.

The idea is to share two breads. Participants can do both the breads or one bread. For the rest of the two days, they can make something as suggested below.

Day one will be basic bread
Day two – Spreads/Jam/Flavored Butters to be accompanied by the same bread (can be any cuisine)
Day Three – Fried bread recipes/ Dessert

Else if they want to do both the breads, for day three they will do one of the suggested ideas.

You can also share something related to bread or anything on bread as well if you don’t want to do the other general ideas.

However since we will be doing a sandwich bread, you can always do some sandwich recipe with those breads.

Festival Special

The festivals of the month will be focusing on Onam Special and Navaratri. So research on these and share interesting recipes. You can even pick up some other regional special festivals and blog on them as well.

Sizzling Smoothies

I know this theme seem so out of contest to the season. However I enjoy eating ice cream in winter, so I guess there might be others like me, who would still enjoy a smoothie in this season as well.

Special Theme – Do three weeks and for the 4th week you get to do the special theme.
Bookmarked Recipes

This is a special theme for members doing all first three weeks. Members who choose this theme, can do their bookmarked dishes. Can be offline or online.

This is accepted only for the 4th week (and should have done all three previous weeks).
Please spread the details if you want your friends to be part of this marathon.
Let’s gear up for another non stop blogging!
