I know it sounds crazy that we just started the BM# 44, and I am already here with the themes for the BM#45, Oct 2014. Since we will be doing a month long marathon, I thought I will give everybody sometime to cook in leisure and plan well for Oct month.
This also means, we will be getting a month’s time to cook well in advance, which in turn means whoever signs up, should be very prompt in posting their themes on time as expected as per their time zone. I have not been able to exercise control on the late posting, however I am hoping this extra time on hand, will help everybody plan well ahead.
For those of you who are landing here for the first time, then please check out these posts on Blogging Marathon, you can read about all the history, the thought process that’s gone in everything in one place in the BM#18 intro
For details on BM held every month, check out the Blogging Marathon
page. Once I get all details I will be updating this page. Bloggers taking part in this marathon need to just link back to this page.
The entry is again by Sign ups and each theme will again have only 4 bloggers on first come first basis.
And because of the new rules I will not be able to accept late sign ups as it will become extremely hard for me to manage otherwise. If you feel you want to do it, please decide ahead, else you can join later.
Commenting on the participating bloggers post is mandatory.
And subscription to the group will be monthly basis.
If you want to know how the Blogging Marathon started, read the first edition

Kid’s Delight theme ensures my Kid’s Delight event
, guest hosted by other bloggers gets good entries. Since the event is 16th – 15th every month, we have two different themes happening for BM. And you have the choice of doing two different themes.
Kid’s Delight – Healthy snacks box recipes (3,4,5 and 10,11,12)
Kid’s Delight – Healthy desserts for Kids (17,18,19 and 24,25,26)
Please note all entries for Kid’s Delight theme have to be kid approved. The dish can be either approved by your own kid, your young relatives, neighbors or even something that you enjoyed as a kid. Do remember to mention the age group of the kid, so that it becomes easy for others.
Kid’s Delight – Anniversary Party (3,4,5 and 10,11,12)
I will be continuing the Anniversary Party theme for the first two weeks of Oct. The entries can be anything that fits a Kid’s party.
Kid’s Delight – Nuts & Legumes for Lunchbox Friendly (17,18,19 and 24,25,26)
The Kids Delight from 16th Oct will be hosted again here, themed on Nuts & Legumes for Lunchbox Friendly
Cakes, Muffins with Fruits and Vegetable
As the theme says, you will have to make cakes and muffins made with fruits and vegetables. You can keep it eggless or with egg is your choice.
North Indian Side dishes
Under this theme, you will have to showcase interesting side dishes that are either served with Rice or Rotis. Just as the south Indian Thali, many of the North Indian States have thalis, so pick you your side dish and showcase.
Home remedies for common ailments
If you have some useful home remedies that can cure common ailments, this is where you get to share with us. Essentially this should have been already used and seen to be working. And the ingredients used should also be commonly known and accessible ones.
Tame the Yeast with Combo
Continuing with Tame the Yeast theme, we will have two other breads suggested by the in house bakers. The bread recipes will be shared internally.
Festival of the month is going to be Diwali/ Deepavali. As I have said, if there are other local special festivals/poojas that one wants to blog on, are most welcome. However they should provide insight and background details of the poojas, with special dishes that are done on those festivals.
Healthy tea time snacks
Well do you have the habit of having high tea? Or even Coffee? I am sure you will want some healthy tea time snacks to accompany them right. So make some healthy snacks and showcase with your tea and coffee. Yes the mugs have to be in the picture! What’s a picture without the tea cup yaar!
Special Theme – Do three weeks and for the 4th week you get to do the special theme.
Revisiting the old with new pictures
This is a special theme for members doing all first three weeks. Members who choose this theme, can do revisit their old posts with better pictures.
This is accepted only for the 4th week (and should have done all three previous weeks).
Please spread the details if you want your friends to be part of this marathon.
Let’s gear up for another non stop blogging!
