Blogging Marathon # 59 – 3 Day Marathon for 4 weeks!

Sharing is caring!

Welcome to the December 2015 Edition of Blogging Marathon. Can’t believe how the year has so quickly passed us by!

With December comes the Bakethon that I do on Cooking 4 all Seasons. So check out that too if you are interested to do baking all through December.

Meanwhile lets get the themes for BM Dec 2015 out!

Before going into the new themes, here are the links to some of the BM related pages.

The current 2015 BM details can be found in the Blogging Marathon Page.
If you want to check out older BM details, check the BM Archives
If you are new and want to join us, check out the BM Guidelines and Rules
Now lets move on to the November month themes.
Since we have a month to prepare, please avoid doing last minute posting, prepare ahead and schedule, which should give you enough time to read the fellow participating blogger’s post in leisure.

I also decided I will be little more strict in handling late posts. I know real life sometimes becomes very tough to manage. However if you know it is going to be so, please do not sign up. I will understand. But if you are signing up, then I expect you to be prompt in posting and reading fellow BM blogs.

For details on BM held every month, check out the Blogging Marathon page. Once I get all details I will be updating this page. Bloggers taking part in this marathon need to just link back to the BM page.
The entry is again by Sign ups and each theme will again have only 4 bloggers on first come first basis.
And because of the new rules I will not be able to accept late sign ups as it will become extremely hard for me to manage otherwise. If you feel you want to do it, please decide ahead, else you can join later.
Commenting on the participating bloggers post is mandatory.
And subscription to the group will be monthly basis.
If you want to know how the Blogging Marathon started, read the first edition
So the dates will be:
3, 4, 5 December
10, 11, 12 December
17, 18, 19 December

Please email me at latest by 08th November along with your theme.
FYI:  Requests to join after 08th November will not be accepted.

Themes for BM # 59th will be the following:
Kid’s Delight theme ensures my Kid’s Delight event, guest hosted by other bloggers gets good entries. Since the event is 16th – 15th every month, we have two different themes happening for BM in a month. And you have the choice of doing two different themes.
Kid’s Delight – Pastas for Kids (3,4,5 and 10,11,12)
Kid’s Delight – Party Pleasers – Finger Food (17,18,19 and 24,25,26)
Please note all entries for Kid’s Delight theme have to be kid approved. The dish can be either approved by your own kid, your young relatives, neighbors or even something that you enjoyed as a kid. Do remember to mention the age group of the kid, so that it becomes easy for others.
Kid’s Delight – Pastas for Kids (3,4,5 and 10,11,12)

The 1st and 2nd week of December will be hosted by Srividhya Gopalakrishnan, themed on Pastas for Kids. She will be announcing this on her blog by Nov 15th.
Kid’s Delight –  Party Pleasers – Finger Food (17,18,19 and 24,25,26)

The 3rd and 4th week of December will be hosted by Priya Srinivasan themed on Party Pleasers – Finger Food. The dishes should be kid approved, finger food suitable for parties. So please think through this and cook!. She will be announcing this on her blog on the Dec 15th.

Baked Vegetables

The complete cooking of the vegetables has to be done in oven. Microwave cooking is not accepted. No stage of the process can be done other wise. Your dish can be just baked vegetables or you can create a new dish with the baked vegetable. for example: Vegetable au gratin is acceptable. However baked biryani is not as vegetable is just a small part of the dish.
Holiday Bakes
As the theme says, bake a dish suitable for the holiday! Can be anything
Instant Breakfast
Instant Breakfast is what it says, the breakfast dish has to be prepared instantly. Maximum time duration for cooking to table should be about 15 – 20 mins max
Bring on Nachos
Nachos is a Mexican dish. It is an assembled dish made from tortilla chips, topped with cheese or cheese-based sauce, and is often served as a snack.
This can be served a snack or a main dish too. The challenge here is to make other food ingredients instead of tortilla chips and inspired from the same concept. Check out the net for more ideas. All your three dishes can be a different combination of tortilla chips or you can get innovative and create new ones
Stuffed Dishes:
Stuffed Dishes can be the entire dish or it can be part of something else too. Like stuffed kofta curry etc. Or a regular stuffed bread. The dish can be anything from sweet to savory, starter to dessert. Idea is to showcase different stuffed dishes.
Ranging from Ice Cream toppings to Savory sauces, get creative and dish out different toppings. You could make toppings for your open sandwich, pizzas or make sauces for your cakes or ice creams. Showcasing with the base dishes is not mandatory. For example if you make Ranch Sauce, not necessary to make a sandwich.
Toppings cannot be salads. These dishes have to be topped on something to be served.

Special Theme – BM pair

Members who opt for this will be paired and they will have to cook from each other’s blog
This special theme is open for those who do all the first three weeks.
Please spread the details if you want your friends to be part of this marathon.
Let’s gear up for another non stop blogging!
