Ingredients

For the Stuffing

  • 4 no Potatoes boiled and mashed
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1 tsp Ginger Garlic paste
  • 4 nos Green Chillies
  • A Pinch Asafoetida
  • A Pinch Turmeric powder
  • Handful Coriander leaves finely chopped
  • Salt to taste

Other Ingredients

  • 4 Bread Slices
  • Butter
  • Mint Chutney
  • Onion Slices
  • Tomato Slices
  • Sandwich Masala
  • Cheese Slices

Instructions

Making the Filling

  • Pressure cook the potatoes until soft, peel and mash it well. Keep it aside.
  • Heat butter in a nonstick pan.
  • Add cumin seeds and asafoetida.
  • Once the cumin crackles, add ginger garlic paste
  • Saute well and add the finely chopped green chilies.
  • Now add the mashed potato along with salt and turmeric powder.
  • Combine well and remove.

Making the sandwich

  • Apply butter to bread slices.
  • One one side spread a generous layer of green chutney. Layer the sliced onions, tomatoes.
  • Sprinkle the sandwich masala over the sliced veggies.
  • On the other bread slice, spread the potato filling and place the cheese slice.
  • Sprinkle seasonings over the stuffing and press the bread together and toast it in a handheld toaster on the stovetop.
  • Alternatively, you can also toast on a griddle or a griller.
