Juar Jo Dodo | How to make Jowar Roti

Juar Jo Dodo is a Sindhi style rustic bread made with sorghum or Jowar flour. It's an easy dish to make and you can serve this for breakfast with just pickle.

  • 1 cup Jowar Flour
  • 2 no Green Chillies increase as per taste
  • Handful Coriander Leaves
  • 1 tsp Green Garlic
  • Salt to Taste
  • 2 tsp Cooking Oil
  • Water hot, to knead the flour


  • For each Dodo you can use one large cup of flour.
  • In a wide bowl, take all the ingredients.
  • Bring the water to a boil and carefully add to the flour.
  • Mix using a spoon until it mixes well. Then carefully knead to a soft dough using your palm.
  • Heat a tawa, then divide the dough into smaller balls, if you want.
  • Pat well between your palms, you can wet your palms with water to avoid the dough sticking to your palm.
  • Then carefully place this on the how tawa and further pat it down to a thin roti.
  • You can pat this down on a plastic sheet if you are not able to pat it with your palm.
  • Sprinkle the oil over the roti and cook over low flame for the roti to get cooked well.
  • Flip it over to the other side and cook well.
  • Serve with pickle and curds.
