How to make Mango Granita

Mango Granita is an Italian frozen treat made with fruit pulp frozen and served ice crystals. This is a wonderful dessert to indulge using fresh fruit.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Mango
  • 2 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice
  • 3 tbsp Water

Instructions

  • Wash and take the pulp from a ripe mango.
  • Add the sugar and water, pulse couple of times to get a smooth paste.
  • Add lemon juice and adjust sweetness.
  • Transfer to a bowl and freeze. I set this overnight.
  • Using a fork, fluff through for the crystals to form. Freeze it back.
  • I repeated this process a couple of times.
  • When you are ready to serve, scoop down to cups and serve right away.
  • Everybody enjoyed the crystals and boys said it reminded of Mango Ice that are sold.
