Cheese Crackers with Parmesan from Italy is a baked cracker with cream cheese and parmesan cheese with Italian seasoning. Makes an addictive anytime snack.

  • 2 cups All Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • Pepper to Taste
  • 1 cup Parmesan Cheese grated
  • 1/2 cup Butter unsalted
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Cream
  • 2 tsp Italian Seasoning


  • Preheat the oven to 185C
  • Take the flour in a bowl, add the seasonings, butter, cream and cheese and crumble well.
  • Knead to a stiff dough, if required sprinkle few drops of milk.
  • Let it rest for 5 mins.
  • Then dust your board, divide the dough into balls, flatten each and roll out to 1/8th thick. Prick with a fork all over.
  • Using a pizza cutter or a shaped one, cut the dough into 1" squares.
  • On a greased and lined baking tray, transfer the squares
  • Sprinkle the crackers with a tiny bit coarse salt, additional grated cheese.
  • Bake the crackers for about 15 minutes, until they’re a medium golden brown. Remove them from the oven, and cool right on the pan.


If you are looking at perfect squares for all the crackers, you can discard the ones on the sides, knead it again and repeat the process.
Be cautious on the salt you sprinkle and add very little. We do not want a salty one to munch on. Remember Parmesan Cheese is salty as such.
