Bottle Gourd Tikkis ~ Healthy Snacks for Kids!

Ingredients

  • 50 gms Bottle Gourd grated
  • A Pinch Ajwain / Vammu
  • 1/2 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • Salt to taste
  • A Pinch Cumin Seeds
  • 3/4 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 2 - 3 tsp Gram Powder
  • 3 - 4 tsp Besan
  • 1 tsp Wheat Flour
  • Bread Crumbs
  • Cooking Oil for cooking

Instructions

How to make Bottle Gourd Tikkis

  • Peel and grate the bottle gourd, mix in the other ingredients except for bread crumbs. Since water comes out while grating, you need not add water to form the tikkis.
  • Ensure the dough is not watery, if required add more flour. Shape them into small discs. Roll them on bread crumbs.
  • Heat a nonstick pan, and shallow fry them on both sides by sprinkling drops of cooking oil.
  • Serve hot with ketchup.
