Ingredients

  • 1 cup Broccoli
  • 1/2 cup Coriander Leaves
  • 3 to 4 nos Green Chillies
  • 1 cup Urad dal Batter
  • 2 tbsp Rice Flour
  • 10 nos Almonds
  • 10 nos Cashewnuts
  • Salt to taste
  • Cooking Oil for Deep Frying

Instructions

  • Wash and soak the urad dal for about 4 hrs. Drain and grind the batter to a smooth batter by adding a little water as possible.
  • This can be done along with making idli batter.
  • Wash and trim the broccoli, take it in a mixer jar along with green chilies, coriander leaves.
  • Pulse it a couple of times to grind the ingredients.
  • Add this to the urad dal batter along with rice flour. Chop the nuts into pieces and add.
  • Combine everything well.
  • Heat a kadai with oil and when hot, add the batter as bondas into the hot oil.
  • Cook on all sides, drain on a kitchen towel.
  • Serve hot.
