Masala Cut Mirchi is a popular street food from Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. These are deep fried Chilli Bajjis stuffed with onions, masala powder and lime.

Ingredients

For Masala Cut Mirchi

  • 5 Mirapakaya Bajji
  • Lime Juice as required
  • 1 medium Onions finely chopped
  • Coriander leaves as required
  • 2 tsp Masala Powder

For the Masala powder

  • 2 tsp Fried Gram Powder Pappula Podi
  • 1 tsp Red Chilli powder
  • 2 Garlic
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  • Cut the Mirapakaya Bajji into small pieces.
  • Heat Oil in a kadai, deep fry the bajjis till they are slightly brown and crispy
  • Heat a pan with oil, saute the onions, add the hot cut mirchis, sprinkle the spice powder, salt and coriander leaves.
  • Just before serving sprinkle lime juice on the cut mirchi.
  • Serve with onions.

Mirapakaya Bajji are used in this recipe.
