Caramelized Potatoes, a typical Danish Christmas classic, is a wonderful twist to the regular potato wedges made by cooking potato wedges in caramelized sugar and butter sauce. The salty sweet wedges with the caramel taste so heavenly.

Ingredients

  • 1 big Potato
  • 3 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Butter unsalted
  • A Pinch Salt

Instructions

  • Microwave the Potato for 4 mins. Soak in water and peel off the outer skin.
  • Cut into thick 1/2 inch wedges
  • Heat a nonstick pan with sugar, let it melt in sim flame.
  • Stir to make the melted sugar cook further to become liquid.
  • Ensure you have the rest of the items on hand as you make this caramel.
  • Add the butter and combine well.
  • Add the parboiled potato wedges to the caramel sauce, and coat the sauce over the potatoes.
  • Let it cook for 2 mins on low flame. Sprinkle a pinch salt over this and serve hot.
