Masala Oats Idli ~ Instant Idlis for Diabetic

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Oats
  • 2 cups Curds sour
  • 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 2 tbsp Urad Dal
  • 1/2 tbsp Chana Dal
  • 1/2 tsp Cooking Oil
  • 2 nos Green Chilies
  • 2 tbsp Carrot grated
  • Handful Coriander leaves
  • A Pinch Turmeric Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp Eno Salt

Instructions

  • Dry roast the oats for a couple of mins.
  • Cool the oat and powder it in a mixer
  • Heat a pan with oil, fry mustard, urad dal, chana dal for few mins.
  • Then add chopped green chilies, grated carrot and turmeric, fry for a minute.
  • Mix this to the oats. Next add the curds, salt to and combine well.
  • Add finely chopped coriander leaves.
  • Next add the eno salt and mix to the regular Idli batter consistency
  • Grease the idli molds with oil and fill with batter.
  • Steam for 15 to 20 mins
  • Serve with side dish.
