Ingredients

For the Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups All Purpose flour 220 grams
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1.5 tsp Baking Soda

For the Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Cooking Oil
  • 1 cup Sugar 200 grams
  • 1 cup Curds Yogurt / 250 ml
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 cup Milk / warm water 250 ml

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 170 C / 340 F
  • Grease and line an 8" round baking pan.
  • Combine Dry ingredients in one bowl
  • Combine wet ingredients in another bowl.
  • Mix wet and dry ingredients until smooth with no lumps.
  • Lastly, add warm water/milk and stir well to combine
  • Pour into the baking pans and immediately place in a preheated oven.
  • Bake for 30 to 40 minutes until a skewer inserted in the centre comes out clean.
  • After 10 minutes invert onto a cooling rack and cool completely.

Notes

You can serve this as such or decorate with frosting.
