Kasuri Methi Ajwain Paratha or Ajwain Kasuri Methi ki Roti is one of those easy to make yet very flavorsome parathas that you can pack for your kids. The first time I made these parathas was when I made the Punjabi thali

I had made as Pulkas and Konda liked it a lot. So later made it as parathas for her school lunch bo.x. We love both Kasuri Methi and Ajwain and its no wonder that we loved this combination as a paratha as well. Since the morning hours are mostly rushed, I added all the ingredients to the flour and kneaded into a dough. You can also add red chili flakes or pepper powder for spice. Else pair this with some dal or gravy.

    Kasuri Methi Ajwain Paratha

    Ingredients Needed

    1 cup Wheat Flour
    1 tsp Kasuri Methi
    1 tsp Ajwain
    Salt to taste
    1 tsp Ghee
    Water as required to knead

In a bowl, add the flour along with all the other ingredients, slowly add water to knead to a soft and pliable dough. Make equal balls and roll out as parathas.
Heat a tawa and grease with oil, cook the rolled out parathas on both sides.
Serve or pack with a dal or a gravy.

The same dough can be used to make pulkas as well.

I can imagine the flavor of ajwain and the methi! Awesome, i usually add kasuri methi and jeera, will try adding ajwain too! Love the whole platter and that close up click of the paratha, wants me to tear it straight from the screen, lovely texture!
