Nachni chi Bhakri or Ragi Rotti is an Indian Flatbread made with Finger Millet. This is made similar way across India with just plain flour or with different vegetables.
I resorted to using the Marathi word for Finger Millet, as I couldn't find anything else other than Ney pathiri / Neypathal, which I have already made. Patting this roti is little hard and turns out good with practice. This roti is good to be served with a spicy side dish. We normally serve it with Peanut Chutney.
I have few more flatbreads made with finger millets like Ragi Roti, Multigrain Masala Roti, Ragi Roti with peas and Mandua roti
So for N, it is Nachni Chi Bhakri in the AtoZ Flatbread and More, where I am doing AtoZ Indian Flatbreads. Hop over to check what I made for N in AtoZ Dosa Varieties.

The ragi roti looks great , I didn’t know rice flour could be combined to make this roti . I have tried these but have failed miserably , but adding rice flour might help to get a softer and better one .

My mom used to make similar rotis for snacks. Sometimes she also deep fried it. With a cup of coffee, these rotis are just divine.

This was my first choice for letter N, but changed afterwards as no one else in the family likes ragi flour except me. I put boiled potatoes in it to make it softer. Will try next time with rice flour

Its one of my grandma's signature dish, she makes excellent ragi roti like this, i just love this rotis with sugar. Makes me nostalgic. Am sure adding onions will definitely give a nice aroma to this nutritious roti.

Good one, Valli. I haven't tried adding rice flour to the roti but cooking the ragi flour and then making making rotis yield very soft rotis (like janta roti). This variation sounds good too.

I've made paratha using only ragi flour and its difficult, requires patience. Like your idea of adding hot water and rice flour. I try and make low carb rotis for night and ragi is one of them. Though I pat it on a foil so its so much easier to flip it onto the tawa.

I love to make such rotis as it adds a variety to your regular food and at the same time healthy too. Though I make pancakes from this, would love to try the your version of bhakri
