Self Saucing Chocolate Pudding is a delicious one pot dessert that gets done quickly in Microwave. I was planning to bake this in the oven, however, I oven suddenly gave up on me and I managed to make this in the Microwave.

Now my biggest worry is about my April Baking, which hasn't progressed a bit yet! While I worry about my oven, kids surely enjoyed this baked pudding with chocolate ice cream. It surely brightened our late Sunday Lunch Dessert.

I always plan for some dessert for the weekend. If it's for Hubby dear, it's some Indian sweet, while kids are very particular about a Chocolate treat. Today I served everybody with this.

Are you pudding me? was my thought when my oven gave up and I resorted to microwave baking. Kids felt this was more jelly like and they didn't mind, though.

    Step by Step Pictures
    Self Saucing Chocolate Pudding

    1 cup All purpose Flour
    2 tbsp Butter unsalted
    1/2 cup Milk
    3/4 cup Sugar
    3/4 cup Brown Sugar
    2 tbsp Cocoa
    1 tsp Baking Powder
    2 cups Water

    For the batter

In a microwave safe bowl, melt the butter along with milk for a minute.
Then add the sugar, flour and 1 tbsp cocoa to the melted butter milk mix, combine well. Whisk it to get a shiny batter, even it out in the bowl.
!For the hot brown sugar layer
Add the brown sugar to water and microwave for 3 mins.
Now add 1 tbsp heaped cocoa powder to the hot water, melt the sugar well.
Pour this hot mix gently over the spread mix.

    Making the Pudding

Microwave for 5 mins, check again microwave for 2 mins.
By now the pudding is set.
Scoop to the serving bowl, serve with ice cream.
