Char Dal Tadka or Yellow Mixed Dal Tadka is a simple and easy dal that can be served with pulkas. The dal is mild on the stomach and tastes wonderful.

I chose to make this yellow dals and highlighted the colour by including turmeric powder as well. We make a simple dal with pulka at least once a week and part from this Char Dal, we also make other mixed dal  Everybody loves this simple one with hot piping ghee loaded pulkas.

This Yellow Dal is my second choice for colourful dishes in BM#94 Week 2. You may ask what's colourful in this dish, well I felt the whole plate looked colourful and we were so happy with the combination.
