    Spaghetti in Pesto Sauce

    We are starting the third week of BM#58 with pasta as the main ingredient. I will be cooking some pasta that are kid-approved for my Kids Delight Event, guest hosted this month by Srividhya.
    While I thought it will be a breeze making some pasta, it turned out to be the toughest, with me being on a hiatus from blog cooking. I still do not know if I will be able to make it. However the first in the series is something I cooked up some months ago, in fact for the Sep Mega BM, for the Condiments, where I made the Italian Pesto.
    Finding the Italian Basil in Madras is a tough thing. The moment I landed with some, I was overjoyed and made this sauce much before sep. I also prepared some Spaghetti and absolutely loved it. I never realized I would actually love greens in a pasta dish.
    I also realized that getting Parsley is much easier than Basil, so I might just stick to it.
    Apart from all this need to cook some pasta for the blog, regular life has come to a standstill, with heavy rains in the city for the past week. The school closed for Deepawali for the kids and it's yet to reopen. Being at home for more than a week now, they are both happy and bored. Other than a day's off, I have been working. All in all, I haven't found time to cook anything.
    While I was thinking I will be so prepared, real-life throws in so many unexpected stuff. Nothing is ready and I am hoping some miracle will happen to get all of those done.
    Meanwhile, you do enjoy this pasta.

    Spaghetti in Pesto Sauce


    Ingredients Needed:

    Boiled Spaghetti - 1 cup
    Pesto Sauce - 2 tbsp
    Olive oil - 2 tsp
    Crushed Garlic - 1 tsp
    Salt to taste
    Boiled pasta water
    Pepper powder for seasoning

    How to make Spaghetti in Pesto Sauce

    Cook Spaghetti pasta al dente and reserve some water for cooking.

    Heat a nonstick pan with olive oil, add crushed garlic, salt, add the cooked spaghetti.

    Add the pesto sauce and mix everything. Add the reserved water as required. Sprinkle pepper and adjust the seasoning.

    Serve hot.

      Pasta is a favorite with kids and adults. It's one of the few things I don't have to force my daughter to eat and she gobbles it up readily. Love your version.

      The dish looks very attractive.Long time time back i tried pesto sauce and my grandson was not happy with that. I'll try your version of it.
