About this recipe and some memories!

If you want to get your kids eat vegetables, then this Pasta in Creamy Green Pepper Sauce is a perfect healthy way to it. This pasta has creamy green pepper sauce with roasted vegetables.

When it comes to my Kids meals, I resort to making either pizzas or pastas. My kids love pastas and when I include cheese it becomes even more easy. Since I already have a white sauce pasta and tomato pasta, wanted to try something different. I picked out a sauce with Red bell pepper, however, I ended up making a green capsicum sauce.T

To make it even more interesting, I told Konda that she was going to judge the new sauce I am making. She was all excited and couldn't wait to taste it knowing it was going to have loads of cheese as well.

The dish came out smelling heavenly! Kids couldn't wait for the pictures to be taken before driving into to it!

    Ingredients You Need

    For the Sauce

Pepper - I have used green pepper or capsicum, you can use red or yellow as per your choice as well.
Other vegetables - I have used both onions and garlic to enhance the green sauce.

    For the Pasta

Pasta - You can use any pasta of your choice, boil it as per instructions. I have used elbow pasta.
Other ingredients - I have used onions again for giving body to the pasta.
Cheese - I have used both a combination of processed cheese and mozzarella cheese.
    Spice - Red chili flakes

How to make the Green Pepper Pasta Recipe

For the Pasta - Boil the pasta as per instructions, drain and toss it in cooking oil, keep it aside

    For the Green Pepper Sauce

Heat a pan with oil, saute the chopped green capsicum, onions and garlic. Cook till the vegetables get slightly cooked and done. Cool and blend to a smooth puree.

    Making the pasta

Heat a pain with cooking oil, saute the onion julienne until colour changes slightly.
Add the green pepper sauce, pepper powder and salt. Cook till it is cooked well.
Next add the grated cheese and quickly mix everything well.
Add the boiled pasta and combine everything well together. Make sure its not too thick, add little water while the flame is on still.
In a serving bowl, add the cooked pasta, top it with grated cheese, red chilis flakes and microwave for a minute, serve hot.

    Variations you can try:

Add more Chili flakes, black pepper or green chilies to increase the spice levels.
Use yellow or red capsicum instead of green pepper for a more sweeter taste.
Or you can use a mix of these peppers as well.
You can experiment with different cheese if you want.

    Why You'll Love This Pasta!

    • This pasta is creamy and flavorful
    • Easy to make with simple ingredients
    • Perfect for quick meals
    • Kid-friendly and mild
    • Ready in under 30 minutes
