Aloo Tamatar or Easy Potato Curry for Pulao is a simple to make side dish for any rice and it serves best with roti as well. This surely gets done in a very short time.

Though I have been making this easy aloo tamatar for so many years, and have shared some of the versions I mostly make, I seem to have missed out on the simplest one I make often. I started making it when Hubby Dear said he likes the aloo tamatar that he used to have in Delhi.

So I make this side dish when I make pulaos or want to make a quick side dish for rotis as well. This gravy uses the simplest ingredients and yet tastes great. I made this to pair with a couple of Pulaos I made during the April Biryani/Pulao/Khichdi Mega BM. This gravy surely doesn't mask the taste of the pulao, yet pairs well instead of making the rice dish very dry.

As I said while making the Rice dishes for April, I also decided I might as well make some side dishes that I can feature later. So I ended up making a handful of gravies that are useful this month. May was a tough month for me as I couldn't manage most of the themes. With BM#100 meet coming up, I seriously have to plan properly now.

Let's see the other Aloo Tamatar that I have and then you can check out today's dish.
