This easy One Bowl Brownie recipe makes a single serving and takes about 5 minutes from the start to the first bite. It is an egg-free and microwave recipe and makes a delicious sinful dessert when you add a scoop of your favorite ice cream or sauce!
An easy quick-to-make dessert you can make for any occasion. There was a time when I used to make these easy desserts for my kids' breakfast as well. So you can imagine how fast this gets on the table!
I was feeling bad that I couldn't celebrate my site's anniversary with a Mela or a party event as I used to do before. However, I am happy that I at least managed to post at the last moment.
Do make this and enjoy your special day!

Ingredients
Fat - To make this One Bowl Brownie, we can use Butter / Extra Virgin Olive oil / Neutral Oil. I used unsalted butter
Flour - You can use All-Purpose Flour or wheat flour
For Sweet - Use granulated Sugar for the best effect.
Cocoa Powder - use Dutch cocoa powder or dark cocoa powder if you like.
Liquid - You can use either Milk or water or even coffee decoction.
Chocolate Chunks - For this One Bowl Brownie, I used both Chocolate Chunks & Milk Chocolate Chunks
Ice cream, whipped cream, or heavy cream, for serving
Instructions
We can make this One Bowl Brownie in a mug or a bowl. For kids, serving it in a bowl makes it easy for them to handle it.
Melting the butter for the One Bowl Brownie
In a Microwave safe bowl, take the butter and microwave for 30 seconds.
Remove and check if it's melted, if not, microwave again for 10-seconds bursts until it completely dissolves.
Skip if you are not using butter
Adding other ingredients to make One Bowl Brownie
After melting the butter this One Bowl Brownie needs milk, flour, sugar, cocoa, and salt (if using unsalted butter), added and you can stir with a fork until well-mixed.
Add the chopped chocolate chunks and combine them again.
Cook in the microwave:
Microwave, uncovered, on high power for 1 minute.
Start with a minute and continue for another 10 seconds until the brownie is a little firm.
The brownie should look moist, so it is fine if you remove it after a minute and 10 seconds or a few more seconds.
Let it rest for 2 minutes or until you can handle it.
The brownie will be very moist inside.
If you want you can microwave again for another minute.
Drizzle some chocolate syrup on top while it is still hot.
Just before serving, scoop your favorite ice cream on top and serve right away!
Substitutions & Variations
You can substitute regular flour with almond flour or wheat flour or any other flour of your choice.
For variations, use coffee powder, and almond milk if you want to go vegan.
How to store this One Bowl Brownie
You can refrigerate this in the fridge for a day or two with a clingwrap around it. Microwave just before serving.
Equipment
Need a microwave bowl, or a mug to bake this. A regular Microwave or Microwave Convection Oven is suitable for making this dessert.
