Tawa Aloo Toast must be one of those really simple and easy dishes that one wouldn't think of blogging. However, this also happens to be quite tricky as the textures have to be perfect to get the right flavour and everything in place!

This Tawa Aloo mash toast is something I often make on tawa yet, never bothered to write as its very simple. When I thought about Tawa recipes that I mostly make, I realized there are some I have not thought of writing down.

I often make Aloo mash on Toast. This requires the toast to be really crispy, you will have to mash the aloo on the hot griddle. Cooking on the tawa gives a unique flavour. The pictures are last-minute clicks, I can assure you of the taste and it surely makes a hearty and filling breakfast!

This measurement gives you filling for 4 sandwiches if you are stringy on stuffing, else it will be enough for 2 sandwiches. The highlight of this mash is the usage of fresh coriander with boiled potatoes rubbed on hot tawa.

    Aloo Mash

    Tomato Sauce for topping.

Heat a tawa for toasting bread. Grease on both sides and toast on slow flame.
Microwave the potatoes for 6 mins and peel the skin. Keep it aside.
Heat a tawa and add oil. Saute the finely chopped onions, green chilies, cumin seeds.
Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt, mix everything well.
Switch off the flame, add mashed potatoes, finely chopped coriander leaves and quickly rub everything together while the tawa is still hot. Ensure the whole thing gets nicely mashed and combined well.
When the toast is ready, spread the mash on top of the toast, garnish with tomato sauce, and serve right.

Ensure the bread is crispy and crunchy.

Even I keep putting off posting simple, everyday dishes. Making a change on my blog now as I feel that is what we should share so that more people have access to those recipes. This is such a nice one, Valli.

Good one. This was my husband's favorite toast but now I hardly make it as he has moved on to different versions of sandwiches. But it is still close to my heart.

u said it right, looks easy to make. Potato on tawa give it crisp, and meshy look, which increases taste in sandwich. with kids it is very quick breakfast.
