Tawa Potato Fry is one of the delicious and addictive versions of Potato to indulge in. While Potato fry is a regular and easy to make, making it on the tawa gives it an extra texture to the roast.
When I was deciding on the recipes for Tawa dishes, I had a tough time deciding and things got busy with me finally ending up making a simple one. However, this is one dish that's cooked at least once or twice for the kids. Both Konda and Peddu love this roast and I often make for their lunch.
While this tastes awesome when hot, it is a good dish to enjoy when it is cold as well. Do try this right away if you haven't done it already. Roasting on tawa is quite tricky as you have a limited work area. This recipe is versatile. I mostly keep it simple with just turmeric, salt and red chili powder when on a rush hour. Most times I cook it in Microwave and roast it for a quick packing. If you have time on hand, you can directly cook it completely on tawa for a very crispy potato fry.

My family loves it. This is my go-to fry on weekends but never tried it on a tawa. I always microwave the potatoes before frying-reduces frying time.
