Potato Salna is a delicious gravy served with Parottas in Tamil Nadu. Its made with ground spicy masala and can have vegetables added or served plain as well.
Salna is a thin spicy gravy made with the roasted and ground masala paste. It is served with parottas where the parottas are shredded and this thin gravy is poured over it to soak and enjoy the meal.
I already have a Vegetable Salna, and Egg Salna, here's a version with just potato as the vegetable used.
I served with chapati and the gravy is quite easy to make. My boys have a tough time eating any side dish with chapatis, I decide to make such easy gravies where they don't get to pick out any vegetables added.
This Potato Salna is the second dish in week 1 of the BM#105 Everyday dishes for Rice / Roti.

That potato salna looks absolutely delicious Valli. My MIL makes similar curries to go with both rice and roti, but I am not very familiar with South Indian style gravies. Bookmarked to try this very soon.
