Keri Panna or Kacchi Keri Panna or Raw Mango Drink is a delightful drink you can make for this hot climate and enjoy any meal. This drink is made with unripe mango with spices flavouring and served chilled.
I have made another version of Aam Ka Panna where I have used more spices along with ground mint. When served chill, this drink tastes out of the world. This time when I was making the Rajasthani thali, I referred Vaishali Thali and she had mentioned that in a typical Rajasthani Thali, different drinks are served like Buttermilk, Keri Panna, Jaljeera and Pudine ki Shikanji. All these are cooling drinks and are preferred in the summer heat. Since I have all the other versions, I wanted to make the Aam Panna again as I don't think Konda tasted the first time I made.
In this drink, I only added a hint of cardamom, pepper powder along with a hint of kala namak with a sprig of mint and a slice of lemon. I had left it soaking as it got chilled while I was making the thali.
We are starting the BM#88, Week 4 and this week I will be sharing some Kids approved Drinks

Aam panna is such a refreshing summer drink . When using cardamom in it , I always add some saffron to it and minus the cumin . Both versions taste totally different .

I never made it at home. Whenever I get raw mango, I either make a dal or eat it as it is. I never lasts long enough to get modified into aam ka panna. 🙂

I don't know why I haven't tried it yet. During mango season, I usually eat them with salt or make leather for my daughter. Need to try this for Sruti. It looks perfect to serve during scorching summer.
